The correct way to
use liquid Detergent
Prevent your liquid detergent
from settling in the machines
hoses and bypassing your
laundry
Liquid detergent
Liquid detergent is considered to be a good
all-rounder detergent. It’s usually cheaper
than Liquid tablets, but often a little
more expensive than Powder detergent.
Liquid detergent dissolves very quickly;
because it’s already in liquid form, and is
fairly easy to measure the correct amount
of detergent for your wash.
It can be easily used as a pre-treatment
for difficult stains by applying the liquid
detergent directly to the fabrics surface.
Also, Liquid detergents leave fewer
residues on your laundry.
Using liquid detergent
in your washing
machine
You may think using Liquid detergent
in your washing machine is simple,
but you could be doing it all wrong?
All front loader washing machine have
been designed for the use of powdered
detergent, liquid detergent is a relatively
new form of detergent.
In the Soap drawer there are normally
three compartments; one large
compartment where you put powered
detergent in when you're doing a ' main
wash ', another compartment where you
put powered detergent in when you want
to do a ' pre-wash ' and a small
compartment /dispenser where you add
the ' Liquid fabric softener.'
The correct way to use
liquid detergent
If you pour the liquid detergent into your
washing machines Soap drawer; most of
the liquid detergent could go astray in the
machines soap drawer compartment
and Sump hose, completely bypassing
the drum and your laundry – reducing the
effectiveness of the liquid detergent.
The correct way to use liquid detergent
in your washing machine is to pour the
liquid into a dosing ball and place on
top and the back of the laundry; this will
prevent the liquid from settling in your
machines Soap hoses.
Originally, every new
bottle of liquid detergent
came with a dosing ball
The detergent manufacturers are no
longer supplying a dosing balls with
their liquid detergent anymore; their
trying to improve their green credentials
( also known as ' Greenwashing ' ) in the
wake of growing environmental awareness;
along with the concerns over the increasing
amount of plastic waste.
Hang on to and reuse your existing
dosing ball; because, pouring your liquid
detergent into a dosing ball and placing
it on top and the back of the laundry will
significantly improve the effectiveness of
using liquid detergent.
If you don’t have one you’ll have to contact
a detergent manufacturer and they’ll
supply you with a dosing ball for free.
