Recycling Policy
Our recycling policy follows the recommended Government guidelines detailed below:
The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive
The WEEE Directive became UK law on the 1st January 2014; the directive was an EU wide directive.
The legislation aims to make producers pay for the collection, treatment and recovery of waste electrical
equipment.
The regulations also means that suppliers of electrical equipment like us, the high street stores and internet retailers must allow
consumers to return their waste electrical equipment free of charge.
Penny Lane Domestic Appliances are happy to participate under these regulations to offer our customers free take-back of their WEEE on a
like-for-like basis when they buy a new washing machine, to prevent their old Washing machine going into a landfill site by disposing of it safely.
For further information read our guide page: What is the WEEE Directive?
