The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment
(WEEE) Directive
The
WEEE Directive became UK law on the1st January 2014; the directive is an EU wide directive.
The legislation aims to make producers
pay for the collection, treatment and recovery of waste electrical
equipment.
The regulations also means that suppliers of equipment like
us, the
high street
stores and internet retailers must allow consumers to return their
waste equipment free of charge.
Penny Lane Domestic
Appliances is
pleased to participate under these regulations
to offer our customers free
take-back of their WEEE on a like-for-like basis when they buy a new washing
machine, to prevent their old Washing
machine going into a
landfill site by disposing of it safely.
